The invention relates to an impression tray for creating a dental impression of at least one tooth, comprising: a base element with a base surface, a first boundary element, and a second boundary element, wherein the first boundary element and the second boundary element are arranged at the base element to form a receiving tray between the first boundary element, the base surface and the second boundary element, that is adapted to receive a first dental impression material, wherein the base element comprises a cavity that at least partially extends underneath the base surface so that the cavity and the receiving tray are separated by a base layer of the base element, and wherein the base element comprises an aperture that is in fluid communication with the cavity and adapted to allow the injection of a second dental impression material into the cavity.
The impression tray is a horseshoe-shaped receptacle made of plastic designed to carry dental impression material to the mouth, to confine the material in opposition to the surfaces to be recorded (e.g., teeth and gums), and to control the impression material while it sets to form an impression. The device is used mainly to facilitate the manufacturing of custom dental prostheses. It is filled with silicone impression material or any impression material when the tray is used as conventional tray. The tray is then inserted into the patient's mouth. The patient bites into the impression material, leaving the first dental impression. Then the dentist followes the uniqe method of Rafa-Tray as the steps in the guide. The impression tray has various colors (INDICATING THE SIZE), and it meets the requirements of related compatibility standards, including EN ISO 10993-5:2009 and EN ISO 10993-10:2021.
